PRIVATE VILLA, 
NOTO SICILY

A residential and yoga retreat fully immersed in a landscape of olive and almond trees, the project is conceived as a quiet dialogue between nature, memory, and contemporary living. Set within the Sicilian countryside near Noto, it draws from the essential language of traditional rural architecture — simple volumes, natural materials, and a grounded relationship with the land.

This connection to its origins is preserved and carefully reinterpreted. Local stone, lime-based finishes, and textured surfaces echo the agricultural context, while shaded outdoor spaces and courtyards extend daily life into the landscape. At the same time, the architecture opens up to a more modern, luminous way of living: interiors are fluid, light-filled, and intentionally minimal, allowing nature to remain the true protagonist.

The retreat balances intimacy and openness, solitude and shared experience — creating a place that feels both rooted and contemporary, where the rhythm of the countryside shapes a slower, more conscious way of inhabiting space.
